After a period of semi-retirement Rick joined UBB in 2010 in the backroom operations. In 2013 Rick began as a Business Developer and in 2016 he acheived his Commercial Associate status with the Real Estate Council of Alberta. Following the passing of Larry MacLachlan in 2018 Rick was appointed Compliance Officer by the shareholders.
Rick has over 30 years experience in the Information Technology field. Rick began in the data centre of Credit Union Central in September of 1979. After spending 5 years working with all aspects of Data Centre and Network Centre operations in numerous install, upgrade and implementation projects, Rick joined the Oil and Gas industry becoming a Senior Systems Analyst. His previous employers include Canadian Superior Oil, Mobil Oil Canada, Husky Oil, Saudi Aramco and Imperial Oil.
